Who are we?
In light of our commitment to empower startups, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology aspires to improve the delivery of digital public services to citizens by integrating government and non-government services in a superapp-like-ecosystem, putting the citizens needs and lifetime events at the heart of service design and delivery process. Therefore, MCIT announces the launch of its flagship project – the GovTech Innovation Lab – a 3-5 month fully funded program which provides startups access to expertise, network, information, and coaching.
Through the GovTech Innovation Lab, MCIT calls out to ambitious startups which wish to address major societal challenges, develop innovative solutions and integrate them with the government services, offering citizens a seamless and holistic experience while protecting their data privacy and security.

The GovTech Innovation Lab offers startups an acceleration program which enables them to prototype and test potential innovative citizen-centered solutions by providing the following:
1 QUALIFICATION
Startups get access to extensive training programs, coaching, mentorship & networking opportunities.
2 DESIGN
Startups explore and co-design a vast range of citizen journeys with citizens, government authorities and private sector including local and multinational companies to develop creative solutions and applications.
3 apps
Selected startups will develop the mini-apps ready to be deployed in a superapp environment.
4 data
The data generated by the applications is expected to create analytics, insights & data-driven recommendations for policy & decision makers.
5 GOVERNMENT SUPPORT
